hi,
what are the differences between a dvd-r for "general" and a dvd-r for "authoring" ? for one second i thought that "authoring" were better quality but i think now it's stupid.
any help appreciated :)

Different wavelength in writing for one thing (650ns as opposed to 630ns).

Also they don't work on the same burners. There are Gereral Burners and there are Authroing ones. Authoring discs have a special track used in duplication.

By the way... I meant nm (nanometers) not ns (nanoseconds) -- you do this long enough and some of these things just come out of ends of your fingertips automatically.
