Hello All

My main preferred player for playing avi, xvid and divX movies is PowerDVD 9. I've just formatted my computer and installed Windows 7 RTM and ffdshow seems not to be working with PowerDVD 9. It asks me if want to use and after click yes nothing happen. I mean ffdshow doesn’t load with PowerDVD 9. The weird thing is that it was working fine in my previous installation which was Windows 7 RC upgraded over Vista SP2.

The version I’m using is ffdshow_rev3058_20090820_clsid and I don’t have any other codec installed. I also tried your tool called Preferred Filter Tweaker for Windows 7 v1.4 without success.

Just checked and it is not in the Blacklist (Don't use ffdshow in:)
And powerdvd9.exe it is already in the "use ffdshow in:"

Any help would be very appreciated.

Thanks,

Johnny

I'm sorry but it WAS LOADING before I format my computer. I'm pretty sure of that and it load with PowerDVD 9 for more than 6 months.

No it wasn't. PowerDVD uses its own codecs for playback.
