Is it possible to use dolby 5.1/DTS when converting DVD to VCD. Ive heard it is but no one has been able to explain it to me.

Also, are the menus useable still when I convert to a VCD?

You can have a 5.1 downmix yes, but not full 5.1 as VCD standard does not support more than 2 channels (I think). Also there is limited menu functionability but not like DVD's.
