I have a MKV file with an AC3 6 channel soundtrack. I've also had the issue with DTS audio
My MPC-HC internal filters are setup as follows (I also unchecked the DTS/AC3 source filter and get the same result):

My ffdshow-audio is setup as follows:

When I attempt to play the file, I get this error:

If I hit OK, the video proceeds to play without sound. I check the filter list, and this is what haali media splitter is outputting in regards to audio:

for some reason MPC-HC is trying to use the AVI->AC3/DTS filter which prevents ffdshow from reading the pure AC3 stream out of haali media splitter....
suggestions?
I am using Windows 7 64 bit
MPC-HC 64 bit build 1.2.1179.0 (from xvidvideo.ru)
ffdshow-tryouts 64 bit build 3054
haali media splitter 64 bit
