After make a DVD2AVI project, Knot end up with two ac3 files with the same size. The film is "eyes wide shut" the image is ok but no sound in the end.
Can I merge the two ac3 files and then convert it?How?
Any sugestion?

You select the appropriate ac3 file in the "Audio 1" tab prior to encoding. If you select mp3, Gknot will use azid and lame to convert to vbr mp3, if you select "just mux" the ac3 audio will be used. Use the latter if you have an ac3 compatible sound card and speaker system.
Look at the .txt file created by SmartRipper. It will tell you what each stream is. Also, Doom9's DVD Basics will explain what the various streams are that you can pull out of VOBs.
Use doom9's guides, they'll help you avoid problems and confusion. You might also check the developing Q&A site that UHT and others are putting together at http://gknot-faq.cjb.net/.

Thanks for the correction. Yer right, LAME can do either vbr or abr -and Gknot defaults to abr -
it's just that "vbr-mp3" is always staring me in the face on the bitrate tab.

Thank you all for the help. The problem was not enough disk space so the audio files could not be created. Sorry to take you time. See you.
