I use DVD2SVCD 1.0.6 build 1,
When I create SVCD with this settings:
-2 language subtitles
-on CD image uncheck "Use selection"

When I play this SVCD can't see subtitles - audio & video OK.

I bourn sample SVCD with 2 sound channel an 2 subtitles and it is work fine - all: change audio subchannel and subtitles.
(sample SVCD on www.vcdhelp.com or www.labdv.com, but i don't know)

My you anybody help me with this problem?

Thanx.

PePeK.

you will need to make some tests:

1) have a look at Q17 (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?threadid=5686). Test each one of those images and verify what is working fine;
2) if the image with CVD and without menu works fine, then use CVD and VCDimager instead of VCDxbuild. If the image with menu works fine, you can use CVD with VCDxbuild... and so on... just test each one.

1) test work excelent
2) I test it and report result ...

what test work excelent? CVD, CVD with menu or SVCD?
DVD2SVCD extracts the subtitles as bmp files. Are these bmp empty?

if you don't post enough information, it is almost impossible to help you.

hi
I used DVD2SVCD 1.0.6 build 1,
1 language and svcd subs
bin/cue too large to burn with nero
burned subbed.mpg with nero that fits
subs on Philips 722 not selectable
but sample on doom9 ntsc with svcd works fine on Philips 722

do I have to burn an image that subs works?
any suggestions for subs and imagesize?

thanks

Hi Mozart!
Sample disk witch i test:
- on your forum in FAQ Q17 "PAL with CVD style subtitles"
(direct link http://www.vcdimager.org/pub/vcdimager/examples/test_svcd/test_svcd_pal.zip)

- at pages on http://www.vcdhelp.com/svcd.htm is "SVCD PAL Sample with 2 Audio tracks and 4 CVD selactable subtitles"
(direct link http://www.vcdpriser.dk/vcdhelp/SVCDPALSample(2Audio4Subtitles,I-Authornrg).zip )

I bourn this sample disks an test on my DVD player and both work excelent.

DVD2VCD:
I try following settings:
- ripp subtitles - SVCD Subtitles and I select 2 other subtitle language (English, Czech), Audio 1 audio stream, CD image VCDXBuild - DON'T WORK
- dtto but CD image VCDImager - DON'T WORK

- ripp subtitles - CVD Subtitles and I select 2 other subtitle language (English, Czech), Audio 1 audio stream, CD image VCDXBuild - DVD2SVCD finish with error "couln'd open Encoded Audio file" (length of Audio file is 0!)

Any other ideas?

Thanx for patience. :-))))))))) :D :D :D

both images tryed have CVD subtitles. If SVCD subtitles donīt work, this means that you will need to use only CVD. Ok?

If the conversion stops before the image creation, this means that you didnīt test the SVCD_with_CVD_subtitles_created_by_DVD2SVCD. So, why you said that it doesnīt work?

btw: the audio issue will be fixed in the next version of besweet. If you donīt have any Encoded.mp2 file, try again unchecking "azid autodetect".

Hi Mozart!

I test it with your recommendation.

BTW: after subtitle extraction BMP file contains subtitles.

It remains to be seen.

Thank you,
PePeK.

SVCD_with_CVD_subtitles
- video - OK
- 2 subtitles - OK (super)
- audio - NOT SYNCHRONIZED !!!!! (~10sec)

sync. of audio with video in previous test - OK

Any suggestions about sound out of sync?

my Audio settings:
- Autodetect Azid is chcecked
- 1 audio stream
- 224 bitrate
- downsample 48->44.1
- tooLame mode - Stereo

bbMPEG:
- movie offset - 2 sec
- CD overlap - 2sec (checked)
- startup delays:
video, audio1, audio2 - all 180

Source IFO I obtain with SmartRipper.

Thanx.
PePeK

audio issue: there is a randow bug in besweet. It sometimes creates an audio file which time length is different of the video time lenght. Because of this, the audio is out of sync. To be safe, use version 1.0.5, which doesn't uses besweet, and wait for the next version with besweet bugfix.

If you want you can edit the "DVD2SVCD.DS2" file and change this line and make it look like this "bbmpegcdsize=796" that should fix your problem.
