View Full Version : Pops in output .wav when using azid 1.7.1

I have the following problem.

When I decode AC3 to wav using azid 1.7.1 directly (or with Besweet) I get pops in the output.wav. It doesn't happen with all AC3 but with a majority of them. I'm using W2k but it also happened when I tried to do it on a winXP machine. I'm only using auto find max gain, dynamic compression normal and LFE -3dB when dealing with a 3_2 ch source AC3. Why does this happen? What can I do about it?
If you need more info just ask.

TIA Jaffa

I have the same problem. If I use ac3dec, I get a 'clean' wave file. Could be a bug.

It's dynamic compression. Happens in the first 2 seconds of Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon PAL - a very audible "click" in the middle of a cello solo.

I just turn DC off, too many issues.

Thnx guys,

figured that out already by myself. Though I haven't tried the new Besweet 1.1. DSPGuru says the problem should be solved or at least far less audible.
