Hi. I'm having a little bit of trouble and I'd like some help. I have some hi8 videos i made with my camcorder and i wanter to put them on the computer and edit them, so I captured them with Adobe Premiere. It worked great. Then i editted them, and pieced them all together. When I play it back in Premiere it looks perfect. So then my plan was to export them with these settings:
File Type = Uncompressed AVI
Depth = Millions+
Fram Size=720h480v
framerate=29.97
pixel aspect ratio=0.9
Audio=Uncompressed@44100Hz, 16BitStereo, Interleave= 1 second.

And then I was going to compress it with Divx4 and LAME via VDub.

Only thing is, after i export it from premiere the audio is terribly out of sync. Anyone know how to get around this? Is it a problem inherent to Adobe? should i be using something else? should i be using adobe, but different settings? Help!

Many thanks in advance,
bakaris.

Just bump the audio track over 1/2 second. That works most of the time.

Why not encode directly to divx 4 from premier? works great. Do a second or third [ass and drop the audio off as a wav and encode that later and then mux them with nandub.
