View Full Version : Two pass encode in AVS Video Converter?

Hi Guys

Thought I'd give AVS Video Converter a try after finding that TMPGenc Express 4.0 had stopped loading subtitles in my avs script for some reason. So far from what I've seen it is superb, converts subtitles from a blu-ray automatically - woo hoo!

However one drawback I've found with the program. Outputting to a wmv9 profile doesn't allow a 2 pass encode. Shame as outputting to an avi does. Why is this? Does anyone know if there is anyway to get a 2 pass encode in AVS with a wmv output? I probably won't notice the difference between a 1 pass or 2 pass but I'm pinickity!

Cheers
Mark

AVS video converter violates the GPL and doesn't respect the hard work of a lot of committed developers around here. http://roundup.ffmpeg.org/roundup/ffmpeg/issue733
