I am trying to copy my backups to cdrw as my dvd player is not cdr compatible.
I cannot get any software to copy the disks (even clone cd which normally copies protected disks) I made using dvd2svcd!!I take it dvd2svcd puts copy protection onto the disks.

Can anyone please tell me what software will copy them.
Oh and i burnt them using fireburner on somebody elses computer which I do not have on mine!!could the problem be that other software struggles to read fireburner disks.

Many thanks

if i ever have to backup a backup, i use padus diskjuggler. still keep the speeds nice and slow. clone cd tends to introduce blockiness for me.

"clone cd tends to introduce blockiness for me."

I copy my SVCD's using either CloneCD or CDRWin - both give perfect copies with good media at any speed up to 24X on my Aopen CD writer. I think that if you get a bad copy - It is some combination of your CD writer or media not doing its job properly. I don't believe the PROGRAM doing the writing is at fault here unless there is some compatibility issue with this program and your computer.

Oh dear I tried diskjugger and at 87 % its giving read errors.
When I burnt using fireburner it did not give any errors.
Ah no its just finished and supplied errors with dummy blocks.

Theres something fishy here as my first rip i did was was riddled with errors but they where stated after the burn, so i used 740 meg on this rip and used 80 min disk as I thought overburn caused the problem.

I am going to try to burn my images using something instead of fireburner and see if it helps.

Are your errors using a software SVCD player on your computer or a standalone DVD player that plays SVCD's - or BOTH ?? If you have macroblocks and errors on both then probably your cd burner is not burning an accurate bitstream and you should replace the burner.

Yeah I also burn at 24x with my movies sometimes i do 16x tho if i'm overburning but if no overburn I crank the speed up with out a fail:) so I have 2 agree with others it is your Hardware + Software being used. o the software I use is Fantom CD.

The rips work fine on a standalone dvd player.
The pc is new which the writer came with but the writer is not a brillian one, I think!.
I did the rips on somebody else pc and when I try and put them onto cdrw reading the disk on both 24x plextor and 12x plextor gives errors at 87 % (I think both my rips ive done do it at 87 %)
I also used 740 and not 800 for disk size on a 80 min disk so I cannot be overburn problems.

I think I will try using different software to burn with.
