I am not looking into backing up HD optical formats as I don't own any media or player, but there are still releases on DVD I was wondering which tool would you recommend me for ripping my future purchases.

Nothing beats DVD Decrypter for flexibility, IMO. Run that on top of AnyDVD and you should be able to handle all modern copy protections.

Agreed but DVDFab Decrypter has the advantage of being free and is still a very acceptable alternative.

Really wish slysoft would build a more comprehensive dvd ripper to handle angle processing and PGC ripping. It would make it an all around superb app.

Hi!Really wish slysoft would build a more comprehensive dvd ripper to handle angle processing and PGC ripping. If you mean adding those features to "AnyDVD", that would preclude them from trying to sell you yet another program, "CloneDVD" (Performs some of the functions you mention), as a companion to "AnyDVD" ("Clone DVD" requires "AnyDVD" for ripping copy protected DVDs)...

You can use AnyDVD with DVD Decrypter for normal DVDs or with eac3to for blu-ray to do that, as Inspector.Gadget mentioned. Never had any trouble with that approach.

But if you had bought the special deal, you would have all three; any dvd, clone dvd and virtual; all with lifetime updates.

Was one hell of a deal.

Hi!

Unfortunately, what was available in the past doesn't help O.P. "Chainmax" in the present...

I'm going to follow your advice and go with DVD Decrypter, maybe adding AnyDVD later (it's not that expensive, after all). Thanks for the quick replies, guys :).

As an owner of AnyDVD HD, I must say that I love it.

However, you say that "it's not that expensive". Keep in mind that that is a subscription fee. I believe it's for one whole year.

Yeah, the lifetime option is still available though, but that does make it relatively expensive IMO.

Wow, it seems you are correct. I though that they were completely getting rid of the lifetime option, but it seems that they split it up into 1, 2, 3, 4 years or the lifetime option.
