I have a full screen movie how do I convert it to widescreen using Gknot??
Also why is it that everytime I leave my computer on and I check the shut down when done box and I turn the monitor off, it wont shut down but, if I have my monitor on it will shut down....

If you have a pan & scan DVD, there's no way to "convert" it to widescreen, since the content you're looking for isn't there.


Have you read through Doom9's Aspect ratios explained (http://www.doom9.org/aspectratios.htm) guide? It's in the DVD Basics section.

And if both Pan And Scan Full Screen and Wide Screen are on the DVD, then make sure you grab the Wide Screen version instead. The Full Screen version is almost always the default one.
