Star Trek Next Generation RC1 season 1 episode "Home Soil" is one of the worst quality. This series has several problems which can be easily fixed. In this episode however, the misaligned colors are not constant over the image. It appears totally misaligned at the left edge and becomes better to the right. At the right edge then, it looks just correct. Exactly the sort of thing which happens when the color carrier oscillator is faulty, which it seems was the case when they digitized that episode.
Here is an example:

Take a closer look at the colored carpet pieces at the edges. Left it is pink, and right it is orange like it is supposed to be.
Here is another example:

Notice the uniform is pink at the left and just about the dark red it is supposed to be at the right edge?
Is there a way to fix this sort of thing in AVIsynth?
