since you are using avidemux, this question should probably be moved to the avidemux subforum here: http://forum.doom9.org/forumdisplay.php?f=22

but what you need to do is crop out the black borders and resize to your desired resolution

Looking at his before/after picture, he want's to re-add parts that have been cut away. Or in other words: Fill the black borders with content, instead of cropping them away.

Of course this is impossible to do! That's because you can't magically recreate content that isn't there anymore or probably never was there.

What he actually could do is: Crop away the black borders and resize the result to the 16:9 aspect ratio. This will then fill the entire widescreen monitor, but will look "stretched"

Note that it's perfectly normal to see this type of black borders (aka "Bookends') when viewing 4:3 content on a 16:9 screen.

They just shouldn't be encoded inside the video. But unless you stretch the video (and thus destroy the aspect ratio), the player will add the back borders at playback time anyway.

thanx , but when i edit video for Crop there is no black borders..

So you don't need to crop. It's that easy :p

(Remember that the player will add black borders at playback time, if the aspect ratio of the video doesn't equal the aspect ratio of the screen)
