I experienced the dreaded hang yesterday twice. I was running Win2K. I upgraded to WinXP. Same hange (Athlon 1200).
I then took a look at the AVS file and found that it specified IVTC! The movie was Stargate, clearly not interlaced. For some reason DVD2SVD made the incorrect decision here.
As a consequence I believe that the hang does not actually occur in CCE but in the IVTC DLL!
I am sure DVD2SVCD can verify or not verify this.
I'll be glad to provide any info necessary. It's running right now with Force File on. 10 to 1 there is no problem!
