I have many MPEG-files (VCD and SVCD, different resolutions). However I would like to encode them to DIVX or similar using 2-pass VBR.
Is this possible? I know Microsoft created one for WM8, but that was not 2-pass. And I think DivX is a little better...
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

virtualdub has a job queue.. when you have set up your project you press f7 and select a filename, then check the checkbox in the lower left of the window. then set up the 2nd pass using the same option (use another filename for the avi and make sure you select the right logfile in the 2nd pass config.. remember it hasn't been written yet so you have to type in the name manually and can't just select it). then keep adding jobs for all your movies.. once you're done, press f4 to see all the pending jobs, press start and let it encode.
for svcd it's basically the same but you can also use gknot.. see my svcd -> divx guide for more info.. gknot also allows job queuing.
