Occasionally, I will download a movie file where someone has somehow burned in the director’s commentary over the regular soundtrack. Is this the result of choosing two or boxes in AutoGK when selecting audio tracks in step 2? Is it possible to set up the burn so that both the regular and commentary tracks are available in an .AVI file? Someone told me once that it depends on the PLAYER to be used – such that Windows Media Player does not give you the choice, whereas VLC does. If including the director’s commentary is possible as ‘turn it off if you don’t want it’ option, I wouldn’t mind adding that when I burn an .AVI – some films really benefit from having the commentary available. With others, it’s just a waste of time.
Finally, some films present you with many options when selecting audio tracks. I assume these include the regular soundtrack, the director’s commentary, and multiple languages. Is there a way to determine in advance which is which? I’ve tried some guesswork and experimenting, but haven’t found any conclusive results yet. I’m guessing that’s because each commercial DVD may be set up differently by the producers. Any clarification?
