a pretty funny discussion in the divx4 section, concerning divx3 vs 4 has been deleted while i wrote the following:

i like those threads, the neverending story.. talking about encoding techniques, codecs and quality, we're talking about more or less subjective opinions (except for totally screwed up rips!). let everyone have it's own! i know you will spit on me ( ;-7 ) but i use m2a to convert my movies (except they are interlaced). i use my little frontend which is pretty simple. 5mins of bitrate calc, resizing and cropping, 5 to 8 hours sleeping, having sex (maybe that wouldn't take that long ;-7) or hanging around with my friends . of course, the m2a resizing algorithms are outdated, maybe buggy and cannot mess with others but they do their job for me. i get nice movies which look good on my tv. maybe all you quality fetishists should buy original dvd's and as mentioned in another post of this tread, get a life (don't take this too serious, it's not my intention to upset anyone but if you are upset you should consider thinking about it!) ;-)
