Hi guys
I'm syncing AC3 tracks to DivX 4.12 VBR AVI's and have found that I need to do some trial&error syncing the avi with the vid track to the ripped-from-the-original AC3 track. I use nandub 1 rc2
I've read the guide and seen the recommended settings, but I found absolutely no documentation explaining the terminology used in nandub.
What does "preload XX secs of audio before Video starts" mean?
How does it differ from "Delay audio track by YY seconds"? They sound like the same to me if your YY value is negative.
What does "interleave audio" mean, what are the pros and cons of doing it with frames and what are the pros/cons with milliseconds?
What default values should I start when I start syncing a movie with it's track and which should I fiddle with to get better results? What results would I get from fiddling with which setting?
Finally, why is it when I go according to doom9's guide and use the audio offset setting that smartripper 2.41 puts in the AC3 file's name (in the "depay audio track by YY seconds" editbox) the track is not synced? :(
I'd be very thankful for a detailed answer, as well as any documentation that explains these. (I've found nothing in neither nandub's nor virtualdub's docs&websites).
Thanks!!!!!
