In AutoMKV's profile, there was an option called MaxQuantDelta. It is set to 4. It seems like if I set it to 0, bitrate approximately double, and the value of qcomp don't seem to matter. What does it do?

it should be the qpstep parameter.
it means the maximum quantizer value difference between consecutive frames.

obviously setting that parameter to zero will completely screw up ratecontrol... that also means it's better you leave untouched options you dont understand or dont know.
