.srt to .sup conversion problems

I am trying to convert a .srt file that I have to .sup (DVD format). I tried subtitle creator, srt2sup and txt2sup. With all three, I have the same problem that my timing information is going progressively out-of-sync in the sup file. Towards the end of the movie I have around 15 secs difference between the srt timing information and sup timing information. Any help on solving this would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I tried searching through the forum but I couldnt find any, I apologize if I missed any. I tried google too, but no luck :(

And you are sure the srt file is in synch?

The .srt are sync with the movie. I have tested them. I am trying to author a DVD9 using the .srt to provide the english subtitles as the source doesnt have english subtitles.

I doubt the prob is in the conversion...what are you using to remix the dvd?

I am not sure what the problem was. I used DVD-Lab Pro to author the DVD and used the .sup generated by it, as it seems to be in sync. The timing information are bit different from the ones created by it and the ones created by SubtitleCreator/txt2sup/srt2sup. I am not sure what the issue is. I am sure that I selected the correct format as NTSC. For now I am past that hurdle of the subtitles.

The problem is almost certainly drop frame (29.97fps) .vs non drop frame (30fps) timing. This will create an approximately 7 second difference between the 2 by the end of a 2 hour long movie. For one of your 3 hour long Indian movies it might be closer to 10-11 seconds by the end. I don't use SubtitleCreator for these things so I can't tell you how to correct it except by resynchronizing the SUP file afterwards in the Synchronize->Convert frame rate section.

And this also assumes the out-of-synch is gradual, with no sudden jump at some point, which would point to a VOB ID change.
