I haven't been around in a while. Before I left, I was using DVDfab2. As I can see, it has been updated to DVDfab6 now. A lot of things have changed since then.
My Options: main movie, english audio, english subtitles
I have tried using AnyDVD w/ CloneDVD by SlySoft, but they only do the main movie automatically without letting you edit. It doesn't let you remove unwanted audio like DVDfab does.
What are people using these days?

I still use DVD Decrypter. If I run into the rare DVD it can't rip, I run it on top of AnyDVD. I haven't found anything else to be as flexible.

DVDfab is a good all-in-one ripper. You don't need to run 2 programs like AnyDVD w/ CloneDVD. Just wondering which one produces the best quality. DVDfab has it's own video decoder, which is what I use. Even though it gives you the option to switch to others like: InterVideo, Nero, Fraunhofer.

CloneDVD has always let me edit audio as much as I wanted to.
I don't quite understand your statement here.
You can freely pick whatever titles and tracks you want.

When I chose the main movie option. I didn't see anything that allowed me to remove unwanted audio and subtitles. Are you using CloneDVD2 by SlySoft? Maybe I missed it, but I'm pretty sure it didn't give me the option to edit.

Well, no matter what option I choose at the beginning (I'm not totally sure, what you mean with "main movie option", as I can either clone the whole disc or selected titles, suppose you mean the latter), on the page after selecting the source I always get to choose the audio tracks in the lower left area.
CloneDVD 2, SlySoft yes, not that Chinese copy :)

CloneDVD > Copy DVD Titles > It shows the main movie with all of the audio and subtitles. It doesn't give you the option to edit that title.

I'm a little too lazy to make screenshots now, but: after the page where you select the titles comes another one, were you can choose the audio tracks per title in the lower left area. Just as I said (to make sure that I'm not simply stupid, I'm doing it right now, while I'm typing :) )

Ok, I see what you are talking about now. I was only directing CloneDVD to the source and choosing the title. I kept going and clicked on Next to see how you can edit the title and remove unwanted audio & subtitles. Sorry for the confusion :)

Of course you can select other titles and audio settings.
Select the Clone DVD selection which is the middle option after opening CloneDVD. The problem here is user error because all you are doing is selecting the Copy DVD Titles option. You could still manually select to keep menus, other titles, and audio streams. Nothing prevents you from adding other material when using the Copy DVD Titles option.
CloneDVD used with AnyDVD allows you to fully control the titles, audio, and sub-titles that end up on your backup as well as giving you the option of saving the menus or not.
