Hi,

I recently finished my project in Premiere Pro CS4 and wanted to
export the final product via a losslecc video codec for further encoding through MeGui.

But since some encoding tests (which worked really well) the final video gets sort of unsharp.
I don't know what's causing it, since the video I used is the same resolution as the project/sequence and the final output is also set to original resolution (1920x1200, Square Pixels , 30 fps)

Here is the difference between the original and the "lossless" finished encoded file:

"Lossless final product":http://www.abload.de/image.php?img=snapshot20090524234905o9mh.jpg

Does anyone know what's causing this problem?

That looks like you're somehow exporting Premiere's low-resolution version rather than the real video... have you tried clearing the video render cache and trying again?

Looks more like deinterlaced result... no?

I note with frustration that the CS4 products STILL don't correctly obey custom settings for VfW codecs. So Lagarith exports are always RGB single-threaded from Premiere or After Effects.

Your issues sound bigger than that, but I needed to share that annoyance :).

Another thing that throws me off in Premiere sometimes is that "Field Blend" is turned on by default for all tracks, yielding an unneeded blend deinterlace in many cases. You should make sure it's turned off for all your tracks and see if that helps. More than once I've noted softness in output that was traced back to that.
