windows movie maker seems to be able to properly handle wmv files.. but if you save something it involves re-encoding.. and I really need to cut these files or I will have to watch the whole movie via avisynth until I get to the position to make screenshots.

I noticed that even older versions of Virtualdub cant use these new WMV files! :angry:

Just wondering, I remember microsoft shipped a program that could split .asf files? Have you tried renaming the .wmv files you've created to .asf and splitting them with it?

It's been too long since I've tried anything .wmv related.

I pretty much downloaded the whole windows media 7 resource kit but there's no splitter. and.. asf only supports wmv up to version7 if I'm not completely mistaken.
