Creating DVD's out of AVI's

Hi All

I have a collection of .avi home movies. I would like to convert them to DVD's so that I can play them on my normal DVD player/TV.

Can someone be kind enough to point me in the right direction for easy to use software that will help me do this ? Menu system is desirable but not critical.
