Gordian Knot Guide Problem

I'm brand new at this, despite having wanted to learn for years. Now that I'm starting to rip on my own, I've run into the first of what will likely be hundreds of questions.

Using either the Doom9 guide or any other for A-Z ripping for Gordian Knot, the configuration of XviD settings requires clicking an "Advanced Options" button which, in the latest build of GK, does not exist. It seems as though these settings are relevant at least and vital at most to the resulting rip, because specific values are provided in the guide(s). Is there either

a: an updated guide
b: a place to find older builds of GK
c: some other workaround for this problem?

Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

EDIT: in addition, I've been told that GK is no longer being developed/updated, and that megui is the prefrered choice.

Don't even think about discussing such things here or asking for help with downloaded movies, or processing rips for distribution as torrents, etc.
