I have four avi files about 350MB each in size and I wish to burn them to my DVD so that I can watch them from my DVD player which is connected to my TV.
I can burn one AVI file on and watch it from the DVD Player but NOT more than one file. There must be a way but I do not know how.
What software do I need to make this work?
Do I need an authoring program to make menus?
Please advise!

Hi,
Is your dvd player, also capable to play avi/divx directly?
-If not, back to Setarip question above.
What software do I need to make this work?
-If yes, you can use ImgBurn/write files-folders to disk and specify the folder with your x avi files to burn:

Hi!
What burning software are you using?
Using NERO version 6.
Burn the Avi file as a DATA file to DVD.
One file works fine in DVD Player.

So I would create four folders and put an AVI file in each and then use IMGBURN to Burn them as data to the DVD?

Hi,
4 folders not needed (but possible), see the help and online guides etc.. simple way
- use write file/folders to disk option
- copy/paste or select/drop each avi needed in the edition window (under source)
- give a title to your disk (labels) and BURN!
You can use a RW-dvd if you are afraid of mistakes and to get a better feeling of this intuitive piece of free software.

Since you've stated that you have NERO installed (and, I presume, you're familiar with it):
1) Select the "UDF/ISO" DVD icon
2) Highlight the 4 .AVIs from the right side window, rightclick and select "Copy to compilation"
3) Burn

Late answer, but is it possible that you burned 1 AVI only in the DVD, and then burned the other 3 left as another session?
Because most (actually, I think all but not sure) DVD/DivX SAP players don't support multisession. So if you do incremental recordings into a DVD, only the first session (and whatever files it has) is shown in your SAP while you can see all files if you load it into your PC.
I learned that the hard way. I have a bunch of DVDs with AVIs that don't play on my SAPs.
I have to wait till I can fill the entire DVD before burning it or anything recorded on session #2 and up won't show in both of my DviX players.
Later ;)

Skelsgard - I did put the FOUR avi's on in one go.
Big mistake I made was not clicking the MENU button on the DVD Remote - :(
I tried burning in Nero as you directed and it works fine. Had been using just the ISO form Burning ROM. Now tried it with the UDF/ISO like you said and it works ok.
Have had that problem with multi session my self so do not use it now!
The only problem I have now is that some of the AVI files I have been using do not play well - Jerking through the scenes especially where there is slow motion. Not all my AVI's jerk - just some. I put that down to the creator of the AVI not having up to date tech.
My DVD Player is a Panasonic.

My feelings are hurt (Just kidding). You said to "Skelsgard":I tried burning in Nero as you directed and it works fine. Had been using just the ISO form Burning ROM. Now tried it with the UDF/ISO like you said and it works ok. "Skelsgard" didn't direct you to do that, I did ;>}
