hi
i already ripped many blu-ray succesfully.
Now i'm trying with 2 HD-DVD movie and i have some problems..

i check these guides:

http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=129001&highlight=VC1Conv

and

http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=137128

i had problem with video, but maybe because i dont use "vc1conv" to convert it.
I had also problem with audio, maybe because i dont use ffdshow to convert it.

there is a simple guide that show, step by step, how to convert
a full HD-DVD movie to a Blu-Ray structure?

Or...
someone is so kind to help me to show how to do it?

hope someone'll help me :)

thx a lot! :thanks: :thanks:

1.) Decrypt using AnyDVD HD.
2.) Demux video and convert audio using eac3to
3.) Create AviSynth for video.
4.) Encode using x264 with compliant settings.
5.) Create AVCHD structure using tsMuxeR.

Do some reading in the subforums for help with each step. Or post specific questions along the way.

1) ok
2) have to see the command line to do it
3) dunno how to do it!
4) have to check, but not sure
5) why? you mean Bly-ray structure, not AVCHD structure!

i know...but there are a lot of threads and are very longs...
thats why i'm asking, anyway thx for your suggestion! :)

2) There are several GUI's that will help you with this. See the first post in the eac3to thread.

3) Do some reading on DGAVCIndexNV, DGVC1IndexNV, and DGMPGIndex.

4.) No I meant AVCHD. Depending on your standalone blu-ray player it may or may not play Blu-ray output from tsMuxer. There's also a thread on player compatibility.

What are you trying to do with the sup? Resize? If so, BDSup2Sup is a great program.

If you don't have a license to DGVC1DecNV then the best option is to use eac3to to mux the vc1 into mkv. Then create a avs script using DirectShowSource.

For example:

DirectShowSource(".mkv", audio=false)
AssumeFPS(24000,1001)

Then encode with x264 using compliant blu-ray settings.

If you're not going to spend the time to read up on the methods then you'll be pleased with RipBot264. It's very user friendly.

However, if you're just trying to create an AviSynth script for Blu-ray discs I've created a batch file that may be useful. To use, just right click on the batch file and set the paths for DGAVCIndex, DGAVCDecode, DGIndex, DGDecode, eac3to, and working directory. Once you've set the path, double click on the batch file and follow the prompts.

You need to have the following programs installed:

AviSynth
ffdshow tryouts
Matroska Splitter
DGAVCDec
DGMPGDec
eac3to

A couple assumptions I made when creating the batch file:

1.) Raw video streams are used as input, i.e. h264, vc1, or m2v.
2.) Source framerate is 24000/1001.
3.) Source resolution is 1920x1080 or 1280x720.

As I stated in my previous reply all the the bat file does is create an AviSynth script. You would still need to encode using x264. Just load the AviSynth script, AC3 audio, and subtitles into RipBot264 and it will convert to h264 and create the blu-ray format. It uses x264 and tsMuxeR.

Under FFDshow, go to the Video Decoder settings. Set "RAW Video" to "all supported" down at the very bottom. If that doesn't work, also enable it under the VFW section of FFDShow as well. You should be fine.

I can't believe that you've still not been able to accomplish your purpose. Perhaps it's because until now, you've not tried what I suggested. I've used the following procedure many times to successfully rip and convert to BluRay format.

Try it, you'll like it ;>} :HD-DVD's:

Programs needed:

1. AnyDVD HD 6.4.0.0 or higher (Slysoft - payware)
2. EVODemux (Uknown - freeware)
3. TSMuxer (smartLabs - freeware)
4. ImgBurn (Lightning UK! - freeware)
5. Daemon Tools or Virtual Clone Drive (Daemon Tools/Slysoft - freeware)
6. PowerDVD 7 (Cyberlink - payware)

Step 1: Decrypt Disc/Rip Main Movie files to Hard Drive
-Open EVODemux
-In the upper field, click the folder icon and navigate to your HD-DVD drive
-Select the first "feature.evo file --->important info below on how to locate this file on the Disc:
- There are some differenes between HD-DVD and Blu-Ray folder structure which should be noted - For an HD-DVD, you will see a folder under the top-level folder titled "HDDVD_TS". In this folder you will find all the original files contained on your HD-DVD disc. In this guide we are processing in order to only keep the main movie - we are getting rid of the menu, those annoying FBI warnings (if you're in the US) that you cannot fast-forward past, and all "extras" (the making-of, interviews with actors/directors etc..) The main movie will most likley be divided up into 2 .EVO files in this folder, titled "feature1.evo" and "feature2.evo" or something similar. If its not, just look for the two largest files in that folder - these comprise the main movie.

Step 2: Demux feature files in EVODemux
-you will need to make a few changes in the settings of EVODemux before proceeding. Under options, make sure that "Continue with the next EVO", "Fast EVO checking" (only the first 300mbs)", "Detailed Info", "Auto Read" and "Read the .VTI file" are all checked. Open the "HDDVD_TS" and select the "feature1.evo" file. It will read the file which may take a minute or so. Once this has completed go to the "Video/Audio" tab and eliminate all "unnecessary" video and audio streams. To do this, uncheck all but the following:

Video.stream.0 (which will labled as "VC-1.steam.0" or "H.264.steam.0")
Audio.stream.0 (which be labled DD+steam.00)

-Please note that these selections will vary depending on your needs, but the above will get you the 1080p movie video and the english audio track for all discs sold in the United States.
-Hit "Demux". This will take some time. What you are doing here is extracting the two streams want to keep which combine ("Mux") back together again in the next step.

Step 3: Mux audio and video with TSMuxer
-Open the video and audio tracks you've just demux with EVODemux in TSMuxer.
-Select "Create Blu-Ray Disk" under Output
-Hit "Start Muxing".
-this will create a folder titled "BDMV" on your desktop (or wherever you place it on your system).

Step4: Create an .iso of the "BDMV" folder with ImgBurn
-Open ImgBurn and select "Create image file from files/folders"
-select the BDMV folder created by TSmuxer
-Click on the icon of a folder and disc to start creating the .iso

Step 5: mount image with Daemon tools
-right click on the Daemon Tools icon in the system tray (bottom right of desktop)
-select "Virtual CD/DVD-ROM"
-selct one of your devices, then "Mount Image"
-choose the .iso you just created with ImgBurn, make sure to select UDF 2.50.

PowerDVD should now start-up on its own and play the .iso of your HD-DVD you just created.

**Update for potential issue with Daemon Tools***(Thanks to SamuriHL)

Although I have not experienced this, it has come to my attention that there some users may face an issue when using Daemon Tools to play the .ISO files they've created. This issue can be solved by unitalling Daemon tools AND the SPDT driver, and finally, switching to Slysoft's "Virtual Clone Drive. For more information on the SPDT driver and how to unistall it, check out this link:

http://www.duplexsecure.com/downloads

You must unistall this driver separately along with unistalling the Daemon Tools program itself.

Virtual Clone Drive can be found here:

hi setarip_old
i think you miss the point!
I'm able to make a blu-ray structure from a HD-DVD structure.
The point is that the output is larger then 25GB, so i need
to use RipBot to resize it, and when i use it i got the error!!!!

The main movie will most likley be divided up into 2 .EVO files in this folder, titled "feature1.evo" and "feature2.evo" or something similar.

Virtual Clone Drive can be found here:

http://www.slysoft.com/en/virtual-clonedrive.html
Try it, you'll like it ;>} :

The reason I said uninstall K-lite is because it may create directshow conflicts with ffdshow tryouts installed. There is really no need for K-lite in my opinion.

XviD-1.2.1 x86 Stable release, Вариант без инсталлятора / Without installer 2008-12-13 02:58:34 268.31 Kb

Download the file and extract to a folder. Right click on xvid.ini and click install.

The point is that the output is larger then 25GB, so i need to use RipBot to resize it, and when i use it i got the error!!!!Now that I understand what you're trying to accomplish, to compress your BluRay disc I'd suggest you use "BD-Rebuilder" for either "Full Disc" or "Movie-only". An alternative program for "Movie-only" would be the recently arrived "AVCHDCoder"...

All the front end gui's use x264 for encoding. With the same settings it won't be any faster. You have to be patient with HD sources.

It looks as though DVDFab 6 does not support HD-DVD decrypting.

Is anybody else able to confirm please?
