Hi!
Have tried encoding the last 2 nights with the same DVD (19 hours) and it seams not to be compressed. It does come out in AVi but the file is 5.4gigs, the vobs are 5.8 gigs.
In the Bitrate tab (Im using Gordian knot 0.35.0) 1cd=735, number Cd 3, Total file size 2257920kb, ave bitrate 1477kb.
Dont get it :(
Thanks!

Hi!
Sounds like your decrypting of the DVD is flawed.
What is the title and region of the DVD?

Its PAL and it is noted at 25f in the setup
Title is Oceans disk2
For me these type of situation only apply when encoding source video (dvd mpeg2) is very grainy, with lots of noise etc. Sometimes I end up with higher file size than source in such cases.
By the way you can try x264 as video format which gives me good quality and better compressibility.
