mkvmerge detects my x264 stream as MP3 stream

I am using Stax Rip and created hundreds of x264/AAC/MKV DVD rips. No problem for a year. Now Enterprise Season 3 causes me some headache.

The mkvmerge stage of the transcode process fails. That's because mkvmerge handles my .264 data as a MP3 stream:


'<SOME_PATH>\VTS_01_1_EncoderOutput.264': Using the MP2/MP3 demultiplexer.


Using mkvmerge GUI, the same problem occurs.

Is there a solution or is this problem well known?
