I just stumbled upon the usage with vdubmod plugs and was wondering if there could be some implementation of being able to edit said plugins for vdubmod or a guide. Sry if this information is located somewhere as I had to wait 5days before asking my question.
Also why is that, that new users must wait 5 days...?
Also how do I know if my vdubmod plugins are working, since there's no edit plugin option???
Thanks,

Hi,
Autogk scripts Vdubmod for it's own purposes and interact with it very little: analysis, encodes for one pass or 2 pass. It doesn't use (to my knowledge) Vdub plugins.
When using Vdubmod (or Vdub) directly you can use the plugins and see how they behave; some guides:

Read the mail you receive to aknowledge your subcription to doom9; I bet it contains something about 5 days for reading and get familiar with the forum...
Wrong subforum for that query, continue in general discussion or newbie subforum if needed.

Thanks BD.
Thou I am very knowledgeable of virtualdub,mod,mpeg2 (not expert but I can get the job done).
What I was going on about was that I have been using vdub for some time and I have well over 300 files to convert to xvid 2-pass .avi and wanted to see if using autogk and adding the filters I needed to autogk's vdubmod plugins folder would work.
By your response I am guessing that it doesn't but, what if I edited the 1.vcf that autogk utilizes in its processes and added the filters I needed into that .vcf and re-saved it, would it then affect my primary files for conversion using my selected filters?
If it doesn't I would like to suggest that this be implemented somehow into the next update for AutoGK if there is one in the works. This alone would destroy any competition out there at least by my opinion and would save users like me who have sick amounts of files to convert makes the whole process much more enjoyable.
To add I would rather use Autogk because using vdub alone nearly quadruples the encoding time and for some reason Autogk cuts this time in half or less, and automation is where it's at least for some of us "encoders". Speaking of an automation "script" is there anyone or a multitude of programs that can utilize 2pass xvid encoding in an automated process??? <any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
Yea I have a lot to say so hopefully I can get answers to all of them because they all pretty much pertains to Autogk and somehow using vdub filters within the already created "nearly perfect" software for encoding.

Yes, actually. MeGUI can. As a matter of fact, depending on your files, you can use MeGUI's One Click Encoder to get the job done.
For a quick reference guide, see my video here: http://www.adubvideo.net/videos/megui-one-click-encoder-introduction. You will have to change the settings to use Xvid, but it should work just fine.

Thanks for the video very helpful.
I was wondering how come AutoGK encodes and demuxes faster than vdub??? It's taking 25 minutes to do first pass on a 6min short?! but with autogk it pretty much does the whole thing in about 10-15mins.
Can someone shed some light on this as to why AutoGK is faster at encoding than Vdub?! Would Vdubmod be the reason for shortened encoding times???
