Wanted to fill 2CDs for a 3 hour long movie that came out 1310Mb instead of 1400. Any point in recoding it? Maybe another 80-90Mb wont make such a differance the movie when it's already 1310Mb large?

I wouldn't do the whole process again. If you're satisfied with the video quality you might want to increase the audio bitrate to fill in the spare space. Requires an audio encoding and a muxing step.

depends how many movies you have left to do or if you are just doing that one for now really

1310 MB for a 3-hour movie might not be enough to get very good quality. I would definately re-encode it again to get the extra MB's because you'll probably going to need them for quality. And since you only need to redo the 2nd pass it won't take too long. As a very rough guideline I use 2 bits = 1 MB for tweaking those final MB's, it works remarkably well.

Why waste space if you can use it to make your rips better?

If you're happy with quality i would leave it. You could also fill up the last 90MB with some of the extras (hopefully there are some) on the DVD.

Audio got the extra space since the rip looked very nice.. 160ABR instead of 128ABR =0)
