Is it possible to open bluray mkv files in vdubmod 1.5.10.2
it searches for vc1 decompressor (unknown) for some movies and for some it searches vfw compatible codec decompressor (unknown) and it says that wmp/directshow codecs are not usable.

Is it possible to open that bluray movies in vdub somehow?

Thanks alot

In VirtualDub MOD employment this option,..opens with DirectShowSource and Avisynth..

Why in the world would you want to import a bluray mkv into virtualdubmod? Virtualdubmod is a very old and undeveloped relic that needs to die.

In addition, why not just edit the original files directly?

i do have installed avisynth and selected mkv with directshowsource and i get filter error. what can be done to eliminate that problem?

what i want to do is to load bluray mkv into vdub mod and load srt into it so i can adjust subtitles, and i can watch movie frame by frame?

is there any alternative to that? so i can load mkv and srt all together that i can watch frame by frame and adjust subtitles in conjuction with subtitle workshop?

thanks

Yes - download SubtitleWorkshop by URUsoft and do all you want with the subtitles.

In fact it can.

Go to Settings / Video preview / Rewind and forward time

and set it to 0,041 seconds (which is 1/24).

Now - using ALT+ left_arrow and ALT+ right_arrow it will move frame by frame.

What is "blu-ray mkv"? MKV is just mkv - no matter what's inside. If you have the decoders it will play. I'm a subtitle translator and use it (SWorkshop) most of the time in frame-mode (not time mode).

* You can use SubtitleEditor (http://www.deanbg.com/public/SubtitleEditor.exe)- a small 250kb application I prefer when creating/fixing/translating frame-based subtitles.

Both SW and SE require directshow decoder to show video-preview... expected.
