Hi!

I have a problem with Convertxtodvd (all versions have this problem).

I can easily convert a movie with subs (srt format) to dvd with Convertxtodvd. But when i'm ripping the subtitles from my convertxtodvd dvd with SubRip, there are always a few subtitles that cannot be processed. The program says: Skipped subtitle / possibly bad advanced ocr setup.

But my ocr settings are fine, because I don't have this problem with retail dvd's.

Can you please do a test?
Copy a convertxtodvd dvd with subs to your harddisk, start SubRip and see what happens.
The subs that can't be processed don't have a place in the movie, they can be anywhere. But on my screen, the subs are fine, so I really don't understand why subrip can't process them.
I borrowed some convertxtodvd dvd's from my friends, and the problem keeps popping up.

Please try it and post whether you had the problem or not, and how to solve it.

Best reguards

1) Why are you using "Convertxtodvd" if you own the retail DVDs?

2) Why are you ripping the subtitles from a "Convertxtodvd" DVD", if you own the retail DVDs?

3) If your source material is something other than your retail DVDs, what is it?

Okay, my fault...
I don't make dvd's with convertxtodvd of retail dvd's, that would be a bit stupid.
I mean that, when I borrow a convertxtodvd dvd from one of my friends, and I want to rip the subtitles to srt (I have to do this, because my braille software can only process srt files), then there are always subs that cannot be processed.
It can't be the fault of my own pc, because I had some people checking it on their own pc's, and they have the same problem. So I say it again?
Look for a convertxtodvd dvd, rip it to your hd with dvd decrypter and try to rip the subs with subrip. You will notice that there are some subs that can't be read.
