Hello there!
I've searched around and found nothing about that.
I have about 25 min fullhd footage. So I decided to burn it on a dvd5 using a blu ray structure. After some calculations I got around 24mbit/s for that footage. So I converted audio and video in megui, then rebuilt those files with tsremux.
In the end I had a slide show on the TV as blu ray player struggled to play that bd5. As I understand it blu ray player spins dvd at the same speed as it does blu ray disk. So 24mbit/s is to much for a dvd (bd5).
So that is the question, what is the max bitrate for dvd using blu ray structure?

Thanks in advance and sorry for my bad english!

24Mbit VBV Maxrate/buffer works perfect here with AVC HD on Sony BDP S350 on DVD5/9

Encode was made with megui and the x264 SA AVCHD Profile and 24Mbit Buffer/Maxrate, 1280x720 9 Reframes
Muxed to AVCHd/BR Struxtur with TSmuxer, burned with Imageburn
Plays smooth at 1080p too.

What is your Player ?

I had some Problems whe i burnded it with Nero! It was stuttering a lot. But its fine with Imageburn
