There is only a few codecs that i use *FFdshow,Haali media splitter and corecodec*i have had great results backing up my movies on to 25bdr .I was just wondering if i could use the core codec as the x264 decoder and not ffdshows x264 ,Would it make any difference as in speed or would it be no good as bd-rebuilder is set to work with ffdshow.
Thanks

In some cases coreavc has been faster then ffmpeg-mt in some cases coreavc is slower for decoding to framserve.
Coreavc is also prone to show video glitches where ffdshow doesn't so I use ffmpeg-mt through ffdshow for encoding.
During playback of x264 the risk of coreavc glitches goes away because x264 stays within the motion vector standards unfortunately some retail BD's don't.

Thanks for the input i think i will just stick with then in FFdshow:
1/ H.264/AVC-libavcodec for x264 and disable x264 in coreavc.
2/MPEG2-libavcodec
3/Disable vc-1 in ffdshow.
Thanks very much for the prompt reply:D
