Dare I say the iTouch might finally have some competition?

Finaly a Tegra Device and such a prominent too :)
Archos has problems now ;)
Does it use the small 720p Chip or the higher clocked 1080p capable one, seems to be the lower 720p one and only baseline :(

But great to see hand-held HD capable devices with HDMI entering the market place :)

Yes, but you will happy because there is 720p VC1 in Main Profil...
So you will can do nice VC1 encoded file :p

yeah how surprising right ;) especially as VC-1 Main should look visually better then H.264 Base (though with the right tweaking not sure if you can compensate the b-frame compression lose visually and make Base H.264 look visually better then VC-1 Main hmm (especially with x264 and HVS), without b-frames they should be on par again though we talking about HD 720p here and VC-1 has a + by it's flexible transform here) :P, i really didn't expect that Microsoft threatens their own Device :D and userbase using H.264 primarily for their own content encoding. Im surprised to my knowledge the Tegra should support Main Profile very well so i guess it's another Firmware block like always these days enforced on devices to support only certain things im quiet sure the Hardware itself supports Main. So who knows if it really should be enforced maybe with some heavy user pressure like Sony was under with the PSP (supporting ipod youtube and other content, except their own) they might open the lock and allow Main Content (or the community itself is going to unlock it like it does most of the times) ;).
PS: The Tegra should even support High Profile as im quiet sure it is the same Core Logic that works in the VP2 + the VC-1 full decode :)

Yes, but it depend of video and software encoder.
I prefer H264 MP for handheld device.
It's really strange Zune HD support only Baseline profil.
And I listen DSi support H264 to see TV (wifi device, so streaming video !!).
