I downloaded the entire pack and followed the guide from this site step by step, and all I got is a 2.8 meg file as the final avi size, not to mention that the mp3 audio file was seperate. The only thing that came out right was the credits. The funny thing is, the source was ntsc, and I picked that as the encoding framerate, yet the details of the files says 24 fps. I need some help on finding out what went wrong, and this is the second time I have done it with unsuccessful results.

you should post your GKnot log file (whatever_GKnot.log) so that someone can have a look at it.

if you had an NTSC source, then you may have fudged the .d2v file you made with DVD2AVI. that's just a guess, though.

answer these questions for yourself:

did you use FORCED FILM? you should have.
did you change the frame rate in the Frames tab of GKnot? i never do. i always leave it at 23.976, the frame rate that an NTSC source of 29.97 will get if you use FORCED FILM.

I did use force film, but I changed the the framrate form 23.976 to 29.97, my silly error. I should not have tossed the log files. Tonight, I'll do it over again and post the log.
