Hello. I have just started to rip a DVD using 2.55 and the program doesnt do anything - guessed. Its stuck at Demuxing and indexing for about 30 mins. Here the time stamps:
[12.04.2009 22:03:57] Output codec: XviD
[12.04.2009 22:03:57] Audio 1: Deutsch AC3 6ch
[12.04.2009 22:03:57] Subtitles: none
[12.04.2009 22:03:57] Format: AVI
[12.04.2009 22:03:57] Target size: 700Mb
[12.04.2009 22:03:57] Audio 1 settings: Auto
[12.04.2009 22:03:57] Started encoding.
[12.04.2009 22:03:57] Demuxing and indexing.
Is that normal or do I have to change anything?
Thx

Not enough information for a meaningful answer...
how about providing the following
was the dvd ripped, decrypted if necessary to the hard disk or are you trying to do it direct from the DVD?
what is your computer operataing system?
how much ram?
free space on your hard disk?

...and having a bit of a guess I suspect trying to keep 6ch AC3 audio with a final file size of only 700MB is not going to work very well. The video will have to be compressed quite a bit.
Try putting audio on automatic and see what happens or alternatively select 1/3rd DVD as the size and keep your AC3 audio

You're not stick at VirtualDubMod's initial welcome screen are you, only it's hiding in the background?
It's got me on a few occasions. If that's what's happening select VDM on the taskbar and click through it's welcome screen and it won't bother you again.

I am having the same problem... this is what it says when I start the program:
====================================================
[4/29/2009 3:10:30 PM] AutoGK 2.55
[4/29/2009 3:10:30 PM] OS: Windows Vista (6.0.6001).2
[4/29/2009 3:10:30 PM] Job started.
[4/29/2009 3:10:30 PM] Input file: D:\VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_0.IFO
[4/29/2009 3:10:30 PM] Output file: C:\Users\Crash\Documents\Downloads\fastandFtokyo.avi
[4/29/2009 3:10:30 PM] Output codec: XviD
[4/29/2009 3:10:30 PM] Audio 1: English AC3 2ch
[4/29/2009 3:10:30 PM] Subtitles: none
[4/29/2009 3:10:30 PM] Format: AVI
[4/29/2009 3:10:30 PM] Target size: 700Mb
[4/29/2009 3:10:30 PM] Audio 1 settings: Auto
[4/29/2009 3:10:30 PM] Started encoding.
[4/29/2009 3:10:30 PM] Demuxing and indexing.
then it stays at that for hours and hours... Also, my computer does not seem to slow down hardly at all which I find very strange. I am using an older computer.
I have a 2.0 GHz processor and 1GB of Ram, I also have 24.5GB of free space on my hard drive... I really don't understand what I am doing wrong. I have never used the AutoGK before but it seems like an incredible program. Everything is set to auto... Is there a problem with my computer that is not letting it work? or is it suposted to stay ono Demuxing and indexing for a long time?
Does anyone have the text from a successful rip? I just want to see the time lapse in between each step in a successful rip, because I feel like mine is just not doing anything... can anyone help me please?

Hi,
Plenty of logs in the main AGK thread a few pages back..
Some numbers:
- 2 to 5mn for demuxing
- 2 to 5mn for analyzing
- 6 to 15 mn for audio encoding
etc...
for a total from less than movie time to maybe more than double the movie time
Usuals tips for problem resolution
- use same machine, change source
- change machine
- uninstall-reinstall AutoGK+ related apps from the package, specially VirtualDubmod !
- change AGK version by trying the AGK portable version from Den78 see his thread for instructions
