is there a decent guide for using nandub and avisynth starting with raw yuy2 (or similar) to 2pass divx? actually, i'm pretty much up to snuff with using nandub alone, but i want to start using avisynth for speed and some quality twiddling. i think i know how to write up a correct avs file, but after that i'm unsure. do i try to turn off all filters and tweaks in nandub except for the divx parameters and then just run fast recompress instead of full processing, ie open the avs and then save as an avi after all the divx settings are in? in the end i'm going to set this up to be completely automatic after i capture a show (that's already automatic, as is the straight nandub encode) so that i can capture 2-3 shows a night and have 2-3 small avi's to edit the next day. with the speed i'm getting right now, 3 1/2 hour shows is right on the edge of being able to get done before i'll start recording again. in any event, any quick pointers?

The only drawback to using fast recompress is that antishit doesn't work. Since the first pass doesn't use antishit, I usually do that in fast and then do the second pass in full processing. Also make sure you have the YUY2 luma fix version.

Of course you don't have to worry about this with DivX4 or XviD, but if you don't care about antishit anyway it is no big deal.
