View Full Version : After antialiasing artifacts?

After applying SAA I get some artifacts (I think) like white dots/smudges on some parts of a scene throughout the video. I have tried AAA but the artifacts are alot more noticable than when using SAA.

Here's a picture of what I mean. It looks like a gradient problem in this picture but it's more noticeable in the actual video.

A segment of the video. 2pass-toonHQ with avg bitrate of 1499

So the million dollar question, how do I prevent/get rid of those artifacts?

And in case you are wondering, this is why I am antialiasing. It only happens is only a few places throught the whole movie.

Any help is appreciated, thanks.

I don't know if it's just me, but I can't see anything wrong in your first pic.

Your last pic is another matter. It seems that you have interlacing, which should be de-interlaced, not anti-aliased.

Forgot to mention, that last picture is after de-interlacing.
The picture isn't very good, take a look at the video and you'll notice what i'm taking about.
