Hi,
I am converting VOB to AVI, while converting I choose fixed width of 720, so that it takes a fixed width. But it takes a height of 448 automatically... So the final resolution becomes 720x448..
Is there any way through which I can get a resolution of 720x400 instead of 720x448...

judging by your "nick" that shouldn't be a problem 4 u :D
seriously...as long as i know, agk doesn't have that option, & i mean "display AR" ...GK has it, so stick with him 4 a while...cause i already sort of requested that option:

i hope the author will include it...

No, there's no way, assuming this is AutoGK you're talking about. Not unless the DAR of the VOBs is incorrect, in which case you can change it in the Hidden Options. The idea is to prevent the inexperienced from creating AVIs with incorrect aspect ratios. Do you have any reason to believe that's the wrong ratio? Do round things show as ovals? Do people look unnaturally tall and slender?
However, I'm curious. 720x448 produces a ratio of 1.61:1 As far as I know, there aren't any videos of that ratio. Was that a typo or does it really produce them (or this one) with that ratio? Can you make a small sample of the source available so we can have a look.

I wonder if for some reason AutoGKs not cropping all the top and/or bottom borders? That'd explain the extra height and also explain why axxo wants to reduce it, but if that's the case the question should be how to crop the original video properly?
Is it also possible the the original video has black borders to the left and right during a portion of it, causing AutoGK to excessively crop the width?
Hi, sorry for late reply.
I got the answer. Well, it's a video that has black bars, AutoGK always remove black bars automatically. But in this case it didn't happen. Problem: For Few seconds in the video, the video is stretched to entire screen. That's the reason is happened.
But again, is there any possibility, to force the video to take the particular size, e.g of 720x400, if I know the duration of full screen? I mean, say it's a three minute video, from 110 to 120 seconds (e.g for 10 seconds) there is a full screen in the video and rest of the time, the video has black bars, can I still force it to take the resolution of 720x400 or it's just not possible?

Hi,
This seems more a cropping problem. As suggested you can try the hidden options (Ctrl+F9) see the tutorial/hidden options/paragraph after end credits:
- no cropping (threshold to 0)or
- cropping after xxx frames...
