View Full Version : Odd, repeatable stuttering on PCH A110 with M2TS/TS files/

Hi,

I've noticed something peculiar with a few TS/M2TS files on my A110. I get stuttering/slow-down at exactly the same places in these files and it is repeatable every single time. When I say in exactly the same places, I mean, for example, Film (36m23s, 48m18s), Film 2 (23m,45s, 56m23s) and so on although it happens very frequently. This happens whether I play back the pure, untouched M2TS or a TSMuxer'd version with all the non-English audio taken out.

I've even plugged my A110 straight into my Kuro, bypassing the Video Through of my Onkyo amp and the result is the same.

I've tried the various combinations on the Kuro of Drive Mode (although these should only affect a 50hz signal) and PureCinema settings but no luck, so at the moment I have to lay the problem at the foot of the Popcorn Hour although I'm going to try hooking it up to another TV and see what happens there.

These very same files play flawlessy on my Mac using Plex7.

Anyone have any ideas or noticed the same?

Many thanks,

Moley

We're supposed to know what an A110 and a Kuro is?

Hi,

Sorry, got a little carried away hence my lack of description.

The PCH A110 is a Popcorn Hour model A110 - a Networked Media Tank player that streams media to a display and the Kuro is a Pioneer Kuro (also known as an Elite in some territories, I believe) Plasma tv.

Thanks,

Moley

Just an update.

I've tried playing these files back at 60hz as suggested on another forum and these problematic files seem to play fine at 60hz!

That just leaves finding out the cause. Surely, Blu-rays should play back properly otherwise there'd be some grief from the general public, wouldn't there?

That leaves me thinking it is deffo a Popcorn Hour issue.

Thanks again,

Moley

Many thanks,
