ahem.. have you read my dvd basics articles? basically.. if you part from the 4:3 version in most cases you get a panned & scanned picture.. that's up to 30% less info as compared to the original movie.. now if you were to resize that to widescreen again (we can do that and keep the proper aspect ratio and sized.. don't worry about that).. you'd lose a lot of info again as you'd have to make the picture smaller, then cut off some stuff from the top and bottom... bottom line being.. unless you actually got a movie where they did a full frame transfer (rare) you better get the 16:9 vobs and do the whole thing again

Hi-According to Amazon.com, both the Full Screen (4:3) version, and the Wide Screen (16:9) versions are on the DVD (this is the Steven Seagal movie, right)? There's no way you can get the 16:9 .vobs from the 4:3 .vobs you have now. But if you still have the DVD, then go back inside it and look for a collection of .vobs slightly smaller in size than the ones you decrypted. Those will be the ones you want. Generally, the Rippers will default to the vob sets that are the largest in size, in this case the Full Screen Pan And Scan version.
