I used scenerist to backup a very simple blu-ray with LPCM and H264 video
I extracted the tracks with eac3to and more gui
encoded video in cinevision
and then made the blu-ray in Scenerist
and burned to bd-re

In trying many different methods it seems clear to me that I can't backup using the existing dts-hd or truehd track so at this point I would be happy to extract the truehd or dtshd track to lpcm and use lpcm on the blu-ray

scenerist is very picky about file formats it accepts
it needs lpcm audio as a .wav or .lpcm file with this channel configuration
L,C,R,LS,RS,lfe

I'm not sure if it's because I'm not completely sure what format eac3to remaps the channels to by default or something else I'm doing wrong but I can't seem to extract the audio to a wav file in the correct channel configuration

any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I know alot of people probably don't know commercial packages like scenerist, the focus seems to be on freeware tools

but even if someone could just help me with what channel order eac3to naturally decodes to and more info on how to use the channel order/ pcm features in eac3to and more gui that might get me where I need.

Someone else must want to preserve the HD audio like me and not be satisfied with DD or DTS.
