whilst trying to do the prepare phase of ADULTHOOD DISK ONE UK EDITION.
it gets right up to 100% then crashes with an runtime error 6 overflow message.
not sure what the cause is or how to rectify any help appreciated.
have been using rebuilder since the beta days and have never experienced this before.
the disk has ILVU and no extras as these are contained on the 2nd disk.

Sorry. This is the place... but I've been unavailable for a while. What are you using to rip the disc? Usually an error like that is the result of some sort of corruption in the source (I haven't seen a report of runtime error 6 in a long, long time).

this is the first time i have ever seen it and i have been a user since the beta days. i used image burn to rip with any dvd running in the background.

There's your problem - ImgBurn is not a ripper, despite anything you may hear to the contrary.
AnyDVD on the other hand has something called AnyDVD Ripper in it - it might be better to use that.

i just use it to create an image of the disk which i then mount and have done this over 50x without issue.
i will try your suggestion as it can't harm. cheers

You can use anydvd to rip to an image file, at least for BD.( Not sure for DVD)

What about DVD Decrypter, its still available and will work with AnyDVD quite happily
AnyDVD Ripper has managed to rip a couple of DVDs that DVD Decrypter didn't like, but thats very rare, I prefer DVD Decrypter though

You can use ImgBurn to create the image (and later mount it) -- but only when AnyDVD is running for that drive. If it isn't, there are very few discs that would work.
