DVD chapters

i was just wondring....i made one dvd 2 svcd with chapters and i tested it out on a standalone dvd player the chapters work but is this normal for when i go to different chapters it still has chapter 0 on the dvd player can dvd2svcd make the chapter come up on the dvd standalone player or is this how it is supposed to be.

also is there a way to make the volume louder when makinfg the svcd if possible how..or is the volume leve good the way it is.

about chapters: yes, this is right.

about audio: if you are using autodetect gain, this means that you are getting the best without distortion.
