Ok, this is really starting to annoy me. Why can't I simply press the delete key or backspace key to type in my desired file size. I have to play with it every time. Its a game. But its becoming a very old game. I just want to be able to type what file size I want and for it to be there, not erase one number type in a number delete another one, type in the next etc etc etc

It wont let you make the size lower then the size of your selected audio tracks + files + mux overhead.

So say you want to take the file size down from 700mb to 600mb you cant delete the 7 and put 6, but you can type the 6 first then delete the 7 (or overwrite the 7 with a 6)

poopity poop, i agree with you here. sometimes my first encode comes out about 30MB shy (for some reason unknown to me -- probably the 4.12 codec's fault) so i want to do another encode. when i re-encode, i do the math and figure out that my desired file size should be like 734,344KB exactly , not the 718,600 that GKnot uses. Then, after my second time doing a first and second pass, i get a file size exactly as i want it.

the only trouble is that it is a struggle to change that value!!

@DaveEL: we know the logic, "you can't have a total file size smaller than, blah, blah, blah," and the method of deleting and entering numbers one at a time.

it would, however, be nice to not have to fight with the program when entering file sizes.
