View Full Version : Good way to change audio/subtitle language tags?

Hi everybody,

I did forum searches and got a few tips here and there, but still nothing completely helpful...

This is what I experienced/heard about so far:

a) For MKV's, there WAS a tool named "Matroska Shell Extensions". Obviously, this tool was abandoned a couple of years ago. It doesn't work correctly, at least not under Windows Vista. It lets you change the language tags, but very often the change is not written (or incorrectly written) back.
The alternative would be to use tsmuxer, mkvmerge or similar tools. It's easy to set the language tags there, but they require a remux run which takes some time with large files.

b) For BDMV folders, there's a tool named BDedit which looks quite complicated and seems to be a bit over the top if it's just about changing language tags... I have yet to try it though...

So my question is - what do you suggest for this seemingly minor task of simply renaming language tags...?

Thanks a lot as always!!!

Best,

Gero

For BDMV Folder, you can try this tool : CLIPINF Editor at this location : http://clownbd.techxt.com/

But if don't work, you need to use tsmuxer for create BD/AVCHD strucure.
