Hi, i was wondering what is the best way (quality wise) to do Shrek as i have never done a cartoony style film before.

By the way its a 4:3 NTSC DVD, thats interlaced and at 29.97 fps.

Thanks in advance :D

HI,

I did Shrek the same way as I did "standard" movies. I think Shrek doesn't require special treatment, since it is not really "cartoon pictures" (like for example Disney Tarzan or other of such kind).
I had no quality problem using 1 pass VBR, Q factor 5, no antinoise filter and TemporalSmoother (2,1).
Resulting quality is highly enjoyable on my big 43" rear-projection TV.

Go ahead with your favorite encoding parameters, and you should be finf (at least I am ;)
